THE BIBLE

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true…
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

The Bible, God’s Word, The Word of God, The Good Book, The Book, The Living Word…these are just a few of the names used to refer to the Bible.

Whichever word(s) you prefer to use to refer to the Bible, the most important thing is that you have a Bible and that you read it often! (Note: For the purposes of this Web site, we are not going to provide a history or theological assessment of the Bible. There are many Web sites, such as GotQuestions.org, that have everything about the Bible and provide really wonderful explanations about the Bible and its history.

There are also books you can research if you want to find an in-depth study about the history and origin of the Bible. For the purposes of this site, simply put, we believe the Bible is the literal, infallible and complete Word of God. We believe that it was written by people inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe the events documented in the Bible actually happened and are historically correct and factual. The Bible is the one authority on which we base our lives. We believe the more time we spend reading God’s Word, the better our relationship is with Him. So, with that in mind, we begin with the importance of using the Bible to develop a personal relationship with the Lord.
